Australian Food Safety Centre
The Food Safety Centre provides the Australian food industry with the capacity to be recognised as producing the safest food in the world by:
- increasing our understanding of minimal processing techniques, to produce safe and high quality foods for the marketplace;
- building the capacity of all stakeholders in the supply chain to ensure the safety and integrity of their food products;
- identifying and validating the most effective control measures needed to manage risk from food borne pathogens;
- providing advanced food safety education to build Australia’s capacity for high-level, evidence-based leadership in food safety and integrity; and
- providing expertise and national networks in all other food safety issues such as chemical contaminants and allergens and toxins.
